2. HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION

2.1 Health Effects :
Acute Swallowed Corrosive. May cause severe gastrointestinal tract irritation with nausea,vomiting and possible burns.May be harmful swallowed. Eye Contact with eyes may cause severe irritation,and possible eye burns. Skin contact with skin causes irritation and Possible burns, especially if the skin is wet or moist.Inhaled may cause irritation of the respiratory tract with burning pain in the nose and throat, coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath and pulmonary oedema.

2.2 Health Effects : Chronic inhalation and ingestion may cause effects similar to those of acute inhalation and ingestion.

2.3 Health Effects : First Aid Swallowed DO NOT induce vomiting, give large quantities of water or milk. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

2.4 Seek medical :
Eye flush eyes with plenty of water for attention atleast15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower lids.Flush skin with plenty of soap and waterfor atleast 15 minutes while removing minated clothing and shoes.Inhaled Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately.If not breathing give artificial respiration.If breathing is difficuilt, give oxygen.First aid facilities ensure an eye bath and safety shower are available and ready for use.

3.2 Engineering Controls : Use adequate ventilation to keep airborne concentrations low.

3.3 Personal Protection : Use NIOSH-approved dust where dust occurs. Wear rubber gloves, chemical goggles or face shield and other protEctive clothing to minimise exposure. Do not get in eyes, on skin,or on clothing. Do not breathe dust.Wash hands and face thoroughly after handling and before work breaks, breathing, drinking, smoking or using toilet facilities.
